Best AI Visibility Trackers in 2026: 7 Tools Compared

An AI visibility tracker shows whether ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI answers name your brand when buyers ask about your category. Here is how seven of them compare.

Every tool on this list runs a set of questions through AI engines and reports how often your brand appears. They differ in which engines they cover, how much they cost to start, what they show beyond a score, and what happens after you find a gap.

We make GetCited, one of the tools below. Prices and engine coverage come from each vendor's public pages and were checked in October 2026; they change often, so confirm before you buy. Each section says when that tool is the better choice.

What to compare

Engines. Google AI Overviews and AI Mode are where most people meet AI answers, followed by ChatGPT. A tracker that skips Google's AI answers misses a large share of what buyers see.

Cadence and repeat runs. AI answers change from run to run. Daily runs, and repeated runs of the same question, are what separate a real change from noise.

Sources. Knowing that you were left out is half the answer. Knowing which pages AI cited instead tells you where to act.

Competitors. Share of voice against named competitors, per question and per engine.

What happens next. Some tools stop at reporting. Others turn gaps into briefs, content or site fixes.

Price per tracked question. Entry prices are not comparable on their own. Check how many prompts and engines each tier includes.

1. GetCited

GetCited tracks your buyers' questions daily across up to 10 engines: ChatGPT, ChatGPT Search, Gemini, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews, Claude, Perplexity, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Grok. It records mentions, citations, share of voice, position in the answer and the claims AI makes about you, and it shows the pages AI cites for your category.

The difference is what happens after a gap is found. Gaps go to a task inbox with the fix attached: a page to write or update, a technical fix shipped to your CMS or GitHub, a review to answer, or an earned-media target. Each fix gets a before-and-after measurement. GetCited also runs as a managed service if you would rather have a team do the work.

Limits: engine coverage depends on plan. The $99 Starter plan covers 25 prompts on 3 engines; all 10 engines start on the Scale plan. Microsoft Copilot is not tracked.

Choose it if you want tracking, diagnosis and fixes in one place, or want a team to run it for you. See the AI visibility tracker or pricing.

2. Profound

Profound is an enterprise AI visibility platform. On its Enterprise plan it covers up to nine engines, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, DeepSeek, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews. Its Agent Analytics reads server logs to show how AI crawlers visit your site, including checks for bots pretending to be AI crawlers.

Limits: there is no self-serve plan for brands. The free 7-day trial covers 50 prompts a day on 3 engines, and broader engine coverage needs Enterprise. It reports and analyses; it does not create content or ship fixes.

Choose it if you are a large enterprise that wants deep analytics and crawler data, and has a team to act on it. Full comparison: GetCited vs Profound.

3. Peec AI

Peec AI is built for marketing teams and agencies. It tracks visibility, sentiment and share of voice per prompt on a daily cadence, supports multiple projects with unlimited seats, and offers an MCP server. Self-serve plans start at $95 a month ($80 billed annually).

Limits: self-serve plans let you pick 3 of 6 engines, with Claude and Perplexity reserved for Enterprise, which covers up to 13 models. It is a monitoring tool, so content and fixes happen elsewhere.

Choose it if you want clean prompt-level analytics for several brands or clients at a mid-market price. Full comparison: GetCited vs Peec AI.

4. Otterly.AI

Otterly.AI is the lowest-cost way to start, at $29 a month for its Lite plan. It covers four core engines with Claude, Gemini and Google AI Mode as paid add-ons, and offers a REST API and MCP server on Standard ($189) and above. It is also available through the Semrush marketplace.

Limits: monitoring only, with no content creation, optimisation work or structured-data tools.

Choose it if you want to start tracking on a small budget and act on the findings yourself. Full comparison: GetCited vs Otterly.AI.

5. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Semrush's AI Visibility Toolkit adds AI tracking to the Semrush suite. It covers five or more engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode), benchmarks you against competitors it identifies automatically, and draws on a large prompt database to find topic and prompt gaps. It costs $99 a month for 25 prompts on its own, or comes in Semrush One from $199 a month.

Limits: costs climb with prompt packs ($60 per 50 prompts), and Claude, DeepSeek and Grok coverage is limited to the enterprise tier. AI visibility is one feature of a larger SEO suite.

Choose it if your team already lives in Semrush and wants AI visibility next to its SEO data. Full comparison: GetCited vs Semrush.

6. Ahrefs Brand Radar

Ahrefs Brand Radar is strongest as a research tool. It indexes AI answers across seven platforms (AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok), adds Claude through custom prompts, and shows which domains AI engines cite most. Custom prompt tracking starts at $50 a month, with larger modules priced higher.

Limits: no DeepSeek or Meta AI coverage, no fix or schema tools, and pricing depends on which Brand Radar modules and Ahrefs plan you have.

Choose it if you already use Ahrefs and want market-wide data on who AI cites in your space. Full comparison: GetCited vs Ahrefs.

7. HubSpot AEO

HubSpot AEO tracks your brand week over week across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, with prompt tracking, competitor comparison and recommendations. It costs $50 a month, is included in Marketing Hub Pro and Enterprise, and does not require a HubSpot subscription. HubSpot also offers the free AI Search Grader for a one-time score.

Limits: three engines, with no Google AI Overviews or AI Mode, and a weekly rather than daily view.

Choose it if you are a HubSpot customer who wants a simple, low-cost start. More detail: HubSpot AEO Grader review.

How to choose

Tight budget, doing the work yourself: Otterly.AI, or GetCited Starter if you also want the site audit and fixes.
Already pay for Semrush or Ahrefs: try their AI module first, and check whether its engines include Google AI Overviews and AI Mode.
Agency with many clients: Peec AI or GetCited, depending on whether you want analytics only or analytics plus delivery.
Large enterprise: Profound or GetCited Scale and Enterprise.
Want someone to fix what tracking finds: GetCited's managed service.

Whichever you choose, start with the 25 to 50 questions your buyers actually ask, track them daily, and judge changes over weeks, not single runs. Our guide to tracking AI citations covers the method.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI visibility tracker?

It depends on your team. Profound suits large enterprises, Peec AI suits marketing teams and agencies that want prompt-level analytics, Otterly.AI is the cheapest way to start, Semrush and Ahrefs suit teams already using those suites, HubSpot AEO suits HubSpot customers, and GetCited suits teams that want tracking connected to fixes and content.

Is there a free AI visibility tracker?

There is no free tool that tracks AI answers daily. HubSpot's AI Search Grader gives a free one-time snapshot across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, Profound offers a 7-day trial, and GetCited's free AEO checker scores how ready your site is for AI engines.

How many prompts do I need to track?

Start with the 25 to 50 questions your buyers ask most when choosing a product like yours, spread across your main topics. Add more once you know which topics move. Because AI answers vary run to run, tracking fewer questions more often is more useful than tracking many questions once.

Which AI engines should I track?

At minimum ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, because that is where most people see AI answers, plus Perplexity and Gemini. Add Claude, DeepSeek, Meta AI, Grok or Copilot if your buyers use them.
