Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of getcited.marketing, the GetCited platform, its free tools, and any managed services we provide (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, using a free tool, or signing an order for managed services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms for it.
1. The Service
GetCited measures how brands appear in AI answers, search and social channels, audits websites for answer-engine and search readiness, and helps ship and measure fixes. Features differ by plan and are described on our pricing page or in your order. We may improve, change or retire features; if we remove something material from a paid plan during a billing period, we will tell you in advance.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@getcited.marketing if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- audit, monitor or act on websites, brands or accounts you are not authorised to manage;
- use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or publish deceptive content;
- probe, overload or disrupt the Service, or bypass its usage limits or security controls;
- resell or sublicense the Service except as agreed in writing (for example, an agency plan).
4. Your data and connected accounts
You keep all rights to the content and data you bring to the Service, including data from accounts you connect (such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, a CMS or a code repository). You grant us the permissions needed to process that data to provide the Service. We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can disconnect an integration at any time.
5. Fixes and changes to your website
Where the Service proposes changes to your website or content, nothing is published without your approval. You are responsible for reviewing approved changes. Keep backups of your site; we are not responsible for changes you approve or make yourself.
6. AI engines and results
AI engines, search engines and platforms are operated by third parties and change their behaviour without notice. We report what we observe and the measured effect of fixes, but we do not guarantee any specific ranking, citation, traffic or revenue outcome. Content generated with AI assistance should be reviewed by you before publication.
7. Fees, billing and cancellation
Paid plans are billed in advance for each billing period through our payment processor. Fees for managed services are set out in your order. Unless your order says otherwise, you can cancel a self-serve plan at any time and it stays active until the end of the current billing period; fees already paid are not refunded except where required by law. Taxes are added where applicable.
8. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, methodology, reports’ design and branding, belongs to GetCited. You may use reports and outputs generated for you for your own business purposes, including sharing them with your team, clients and advisers.
9. Confidentiality
Each party will protect the other’s non-public business information with reasonable care and use it only to perform under these Terms.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses or lost profits. Our total liability arising from the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or to protect the Service or others, and will give notice where reasonable. On termination you can request an export of your data within 30 days, after which we may delete it as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts in India, unless your order specifies otherwise.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify account holders of material changes by email or in the Service before they take effect, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision.
